An Overview of My Practice

Family Law and Domestic Relations
I handle all matters involved in simple and complex divorce proceedings, including child custody and parenting plans (visitation), relocation, child support, spousal support or alimony, and the division of the debts and assets of the marriage. I have sophisticated software that I use for complex and large asset cases, as well as asset tracking software to help find hidden, lost or fraudulently transferred assets. I work with grandparents who seek custody, visitation or support, handle adoption proceedings and represent men or women in domestic violence proceedings, including requests for restraining, protection or no contact orders. Landlord-Tenant Issues
While I handle some matters involving tenants, I focus my attention and representation on the needs and rights of residential and commercial landlords. I negotiate, review and prepare residential and commercial leases, handle all matters related to eviction proceedings, defend property owners and landlords when mechanics liens are filed for repairs or construction requested by tenants, and help ensure landlord compliance with local, state and federal laws. Collections
I protect the rights of creditors and businesses that seek to recover payment on past-due or unsatisfied debts, including obligations owed by dissolved enterprises, such as limited liability companies (LLCs), corporations and partnerships. I help secure and enforce judgments, and use powerful skip-tracing programs to help you locate debtors. I can also help debtors negotiate workout plans. See my collections page for more information.
Criminal Law
I handle the defense of a broad range of felony and misdemeanor charges, including drunk driving/DUI and domestic violence. I represent clients in all proceedings resulting from a DUI/DWAI arrest, from the DMV hearing regarding the suspension of your license to the criminal proceeding to determine penalties.
